Hey everyone! I just wanted to write about how eighth grade is going so far because honestly, it’s been really great! I know a lot of people say middle school is hard, but for me, this year has been pretty fun and exciting so far .
One of the best things is that I’m in the school play this year. We’re doing “Something Rotten” and I play one of the ensemble roles. It’s a lot of work learning all the lines and songs, but I love being on stage with my friends. Rehearsals can get long, but it’s totally worth it when we all finally nail a scene.
Besides drama, I also play the flute in the school band. It feels awesome to play music with everyone and hear how all the parts fit together. I also sing in the school choir, which is super fun because I get to hang out with my friends and learn new songs every week.
When I’m not doing music or drama, I’m in a few clubs too. I joined art club this year, and we’re working on decorations for the art room. It’s cool to try new things and meet people who like the same stuff I do.
So yeah, eighth grade is going really well for me. I’m busy, but I like it that way. I feel like I’m learning a lot and making some great memories before high school. Can’t wait to see what else the year brings!
