This is a joint venture with my daughter Rebekah. We started this as an exercise that was supposed to help with our relationship. As it happens with many mother-child relationships, they go through different stages. This is true for the relationship with Rebekah and me. I was looking for way for us to come together and starting this website and blog was one. This is a project for the two of us, a way to combine our unique talents as well as bring us together. To give a little background for her post, she is dealing with an issue with her mental health. Adolescence is a tough time for anyone. The COVID pandemic has not helped, isolating people. This has adversely affected young people especially. I have found this out firsthand. I am so proud of my first born and looking forward to this journey we are on. We worked to make our website better and she even wrote the first of many posts!
I’m Rebekah, and I want to share a bit about my experience with mental struggles. For a long time, I was the happy girl everyone knew, but once I hit my teenage years, everything changed. I suddenly found myself overwhelmed with sadness and anxiety. That’s why getting help when you’re struggling is extremely important, and it’s perfectly okay to ask for it. Whether it’s talking to a friend, a parent, or a school counselor, sharing what you’re going through can really lighten the load. It’s way easier to deal with stuff when you’re not trying to handle it all alone. Plus, you might find out that others are feeling the same way, and that can make a big difference. So don’t be shy—reach out and get the support you need! It really helped me and put me in a better headspace.

Rebekah, I am so proud of your courage. You are an inspiration to so many people, especially young people. It takes strength to acknowledge that something is not right and seek help. This post and blog will encourage others to do the same. Thank you for sharing. I wish you and your mom all the best on this journey.
Rebekah, I’m so proud of you! We all go through periods of internal struggle. Kudos to you for having the strength to acknowledge your struggle and reach out for help! That takes a kind if strength that many adults don’t even have. There will be many bumps in the road on your journey, learning how to navigate them now will serve you well later. Sending hugs from my heart to yours.

Good meriting of your thoughts
Being human opens us all up to triumphs and struggles. I often wonder if there are more issues today or more awareness. Either way, I’m so proud of you both for being willing to share your selves, work on your relationship and help others along the way. Maybe blessings.
I am so glad that you have opened up and reach out to others. You have done what many adults have difficulty doing. The more you share the stronger you will get emotionally and spiritually. I am also proud of you and welcome talking with you.
