Inspiration follows Aspiration
I commenced the composition of this blog post in July 2024.
It felt opportune to finally upload this as I embark on restarting this endeavor in June 2025.
Inspiration follows aspiration.
This is a quote by Rabindranath Tagore, a famous philosopher from India.
I have been enthralled by this quote for many years. I subscribed to an email list that disseminated a daily quote of the day. This particular one resonated with me so profoundly that I even had it embroidered on a hoodie.
It was at the moment I contemplated embarking on this blog that I was reminded of a profound quote, which prompted a realization that I had never taken the initiative to explore the background of its author.
Rabindranath Tagore was a distinguished writer, philosopher, and artist, born in 1861 in India. He was a Nobel laureate, celebrated as the Bard of Bengal. Tagore was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913.
I embarked on an extensive exploration to facilitate the launch of this blog. It has long resided in my heart to commence writing; I feel a profound calling to compose a memoir that chronicles my distinctive journey toward becoming a physician.
I am an avid reader with a vivid imagination and firmly believe that I possess the skills to craft the narratives I hold dear. I have come to realize that I indeed have my own distinctive voice and require the courage to embark on the transformative journey of writing.
Starting this blog is the physical manifestation of that leap of faith.
Returning my attention to the opening quotation, I have long harbored aspirations of becoming a writer. Recent developments in my life have served as the catalyst for embarking on this blogging endeavor.
The objective of this blog is to uncover the true essence of who Teresa is.
Teresa has many titles:
Dr. Thomas
Mrs. Kelly
Mom
Daughter
Sister
Friend
I eagerly anticipate the journey upon which I am about to embark. I look forward to the myriad discoveries that await me. My aspiration is to inspire others along this path as I evolve and flourish.

Sending you Big Sis energy and love! You’ll be surprised to find out that you will meet a lot of people as you travel through this life who are going through similar experiences. I’m proud of you for calling out to your village. We aren’t meant to go through this life alone. Light bearers retain their light by igniting light in others.
Keep me in the loop. I want to see where this journey takes you and your discoveries along the way.
Love Godnettie
Good shout.
